Dr. Donna Christensen

Dr. Donna Christensen is a physician and politician, recognized as the first female doctor elected to Congress. She represented the U.S. Virgin Islands as a Delegate from 1997 to 2015. An alumna of St. Mary's College and George Washington University School of Medicine, she served as the medical director at St. Croix Hospital in the U.S. Virgin Islands after years of practicing as a physician. Beyond her medical and political careers, Dr. Christensen previously served as the Commissioner of Health for the U.S. Virgin Islands and she actively leads several community organizations in St. Croix.
