An op-ed entitled “Why Are We Leaving Black Women’s Health Behind?” co-authored by Debra Fraser-Howze, Dr. Donna Christensen and Shavon Arline-Bradley, Pres and CEO of the National Council for Negro Women was successfully placed on the National Newspaper Publisher’s Assoc (NNPA) BlackPressUSA site. Their newswire allows for the national distribution of the piece. The piece was also sent out in their email blast and will continue to be picked up by publications nationwide. The piece focuses on addressing obesity in the community and the need for greater access to care.
