Sandra Thurman
Sandra Thurman is a globally recognized expert in AIDS policy and global health. She began her career in AIDS activism at AID Atlanta, later becoming its executive director. Her impactful work led to her appointment as the first director of the Office of National AIDS Policy under President Bill Clinton. Currently, she serves as a Senior Advisor to the Division of Global HIV and Tuberculosis at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Chief Strategy Officer at the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, and Professor of Practice at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
